I Am Not A Monster started out great. The problem was the first chapter did not have anything to do with the book. The women showed up close to the end for a few paragraphs but it did not add anything to the story. One problem was the book was written in Spanish and translated into English. In some places it just didn’t work. It was very hard to read and understand at times. Some paragraphs started with someone talking and the reader had no idea who it was for a few pages. Then there is the ending. It could have been great, but the author chose to let the murderer tell us about it. After reading the whole book without a clue it was really a let down. It could have been great if it had been written different.
