Third Party

This book kept me wondering for a long time. At first I didn’t think I would like it. The paragraphs shifted between the three main characters and I thought it would be hard to read. It turned out to be very easy to keep it straight. Having said that, it is not for everyone. The book is based on abusive relationships, BDSM, consensual and non consensual encounters, child abuse and suicide.

The book is about the death of Margaux Stritch and the people around her, her life and her job. It is also about abuse. At first everyone thought she committed suicide but Decker, a detective, thinks she was murdered and is determined to prove it.

The end was somewhat of a surprise. The third party who was mentioned several times forward the end was a let down and really didn’t fit in with the story line.

I would like to thank Brandi Reeds, Lake Union Publishing and Net Galley for this book in exchange for an honest review.
